About Jabra

An expert in developing, manufacturing, and marketing hands-free communications headsets and solutions, Jabra GN can easily be considered as the frontrunner in promoting Bluetooth technology and wireless communication solutions. A subsidiary of GN Netcom, the company, Jabra started out in a company known as Norcom Electronics Corporation. This company was established by Elwood “Woody” Norris in Utah in the year 1983. Since its foundation, it was deeply involved in the development of ear-radio and ear-microphone technologies, which the company now offers the market. From Norcom, it was acquired in 1984 by American Technology Corporation and in 1988 was sold to Norris Communications, Inc. (NCI). After that, NCI spun off its assets of the earphone to Randy Granovetter, who founded Jabra, together with Brean Murray in January 3, 1993. And finally, in September 2000, was acquired by GN Netcom, which continues up to the present.

Jabra is the consolidated division of GN Netcom’s Contact Centre and Office (CC&O) headsets.
