Avaya created this program in order to give its member companies some platforms and interfaces they could improve through the program. Today, the Avaya DevConnect Program houses thousands of hardware and software service providers, integrators, developer companies and customers. It also has members who have provided the market with wide array of Avaya-compatible solutions, including:

  • Applications tailored for specific Vertical Industries
  • Natural Language Speech Recognition Applications
  • Specialized Computer Telephony Integration and Reporting Capabilities
  • Wireless services

Development, compliance testing and co-marketing take place while in the program and through this, companies are able to extend their market reach and the multivendor networks’ value.

In the Avaya DevConnect Program, Avaya opens its aid and support through training and technical resources. All members will be grouped according to the company’s levels of sales and marketing involvement. The groupings are as follows:

  • Registered
  • Gold
  • Platinum

While the Registered membership is free for anyone interested in the program, those who wants to be in Gold and Platinum membership would need to undergo strict evaluation. Criteria would include:

  • Business Operations
  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Marketing
  • Product Support
  • Sales

This is exactly what Jabra underwent through in order to become a Platinum member of the program. The company leveled up because Avaya recognized its broad range of corded and wireless headsets, offering users the following:

  • Enhanced Ergonomic Comfort
  • Increased Workplace Productivity
  • Superior Audio Quality

Jabra Strategic Alliances Vice President Chris Briglin believes that the collaboration between the two companies will provide better products to customers. He said, “Platinum Membership in Avaya’s developer community allows Jabra to continue to develop deeper integration with Avaya platforms which will lead to an enhanced user experience. Building on Avaya’s resources and Jabra’s innovative product development, customers in offices, contact centers and on the road will have a broader portfolio of compliance-tested solutions designed to meet their individual needs and budget requirements. Jabra is dedicated to enhancing the user experience by developing unique audio end points that allow customers to appreciate the full collaborative value of Unified Communication; regardless of where they work or how they connect to the network.”

In addition, Avaya Developer Relations Vice President Eric Rossman said, “Development partners like Jabra provide the tools Avaya customers need to change the way they communicate and to establish a true competitive advantage in the marketplace. Jabra’s continued dedication to being a world-leader in Unified Communications Solutions shines through in the wide range of products they create specifically to fit the needs of all business users, regardless of where and how they choose to communicate.”
