Synopsis:

Plantronics doesn’t just offer the best for its customers but is also concerned with the environment. As proof of this claim, together with Cityblooms, Plantronics was given the 2015 Business Environmental Award from Acterra.

Admit it, a business is a money-hub, wherever angle you’d want to look at it. This is why the 2015 Business Environmental Award is a big thing in any industry! Working for money through business is a usual thing, but throwing environment care and concern into the mix is something worth-recognizing. This is also the reason why when Acterra gave that award to Plantronics and Cityblooms for its on-site hydroponic micro-farm, it says a lot of things about the two companies.

As part of Plantronics’ commitment to global sustainability, the company is using an on-site food production.

Together with Cityblooms, Plantronics started the award-winning computer-automated micro-farm in June 2014. Powered by a solar energy system and virtually eliminates pesticide use, the mini-greenhouses, also known as “growbots” provide fresh produce 200 yards from Plantronics’ employee café.
