Plantronics introduced Plantronics-as-a-service, the company’s pioneer offer of hardware subscription program, and will be launched at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2014. This event will start from July 13 until July 17, 2014, and Plantronics will be at booth #420.

The new offering enables users to create their own complete and pay-as-you-go communications solutions which are ideal for Cloud service providers. This means that customers can gage the usage they need in order for them to match the usage their business needs, and at the same time to figure out which communications devices will be right for their users’ work styles.

The subscription business model used by Cloud service providers for mid-market businesses and SMB is well-complemented by this offer. The Plantronics-as-a-service program has three variations to choose from based on the number of months of subscription. They are the:

  • 12-month program
  • 24-month program
  • 36-month program

They can also be used to make it easier to have a comprehensive communications solutions all in one package. The Plantronics-as-a-service is very suitable for Cloud service providers because of its feature to add revenue stream, which is new and recurring from the bundled hardware. Plantronics’ world-class customer support will also be available together with the entire package.

With high expectations for the future since the company is expected to add new products and services, the program is now available in the United States for both mid-market and SMB customers. In the future though, more countries are expected to be added.

Microsoft’s Lync Product Marketing General Manager, Giovanni Mezgec, said, “As more businesses are realizing the value of a pay as you use OpEx model, we are pleased to have Plantronics launch the Plantronics-as-a-Service program and see clear benefits for our Lync customers and Cloud Service Providers.”

Plantronics’ Channel and Alliance Marketing Vice President, Erna Arnesen believes that businesses today need to evolve because customers want to have a simpler and more agile method of availing to Unified Communications Solutions. Furthermore, she said, “The new Device-as-a-Service program makes it easy for the customer and easy for Cloud Service Provider.” More Unified Communications products found in our store.
