Plantronics announced the BackBeat PRO, the new single charge, 24-hour listening time and over-the-ear Bluetooth headphones.

The newest addition to the BackBeat Stereo Product family, BackBeat PRO is an over-the-ear headphones with an active noise-cancelling feature. The acclaimed advanced Active Noise-Cancellation (ANC) technology helps users to drone out the background noises for them to fully enjoy themselves in the music they are immersed in. Available today in the United States and on October 2014 all over the world, this new Bluetooth headset is flexible in its very core and is designed to be worn whether mobile or not. And not to mention, the company’s well-known high quality audio performance.

BackBeat PRO also prides itself with a dual-mic solution that uniquely recognizes background noises and at the same time eliminates them, by tuning out outside sounds. This in the end helps to have clearer and better audio quality. It has a button which has incorporated the adjustable OpenMic feature in it. This feature enables the user to push the music to the back and at the same time amplify the sound in the background instead. This enables users to pay attention to his surroundings without needing to remove his headphones, like listening for his boarding call or when in a conversation with a coworker.

Capable of powering a maximum of 24 hours on a single charge for listening time, this new headphones, where Plantronics’ power management innovation was displayed, is also capable of powering a maximum of 60 hours of using the noise-cancellation feature, which is equivalent to activating the feature in an entire around-the-world flight. It also has a standby power maximum to 21 days and DeepSleep hibernation that can reach up to 6 months. Included with the headset is a 3.5 mm cable, which can be the backup if ever the users run out of battery. Interested about other Plantronics BackBeat products? Check out our store.

It uses Advanced Bluetooth technology, which can allow access with maximum of 330 ft/100 m away from the gadget it’s connected to, which is way better than the usual range of 33 ft/10 m. BackBeat PRO sensors are also in the headphones which give the users the access to pause the music when it is detached and resume music when attached again. The sensors will also update users on the incoming calls, battery life, connection status, and other notifications by softly whispering them to the users.

BackBeat PRO is designed with fold-flat earcups, including a durable travel sleeve made from nylon. The design increases its portability and ergonomic usefulness, which makes it more stress-free to handle and manage all day long. The BackBeat PRO dual mics, directly installed on the headphones, help provide clear communication, whether it be accessing voice applications like Skype and Siri or phones calls, either on tablets or smartphones alike. And finally, the NFC pairing with the Android devices improves the smooth transition of the activities from watching videos to listening to music, using mobile devices through Bluetooth connection.

BackBeat PRO is offered in the market with MSRP of $249.99, €249.99, and £249.99. It will be available to all Plantronics retailers authorized to sell in the US. There are also units available at Amazon.com and InMotion Entertainment airport stores. People would want to enjoy their music with being bound by time or space. This is why they created the BackBeat PRO in the first place, according to Plantronics Mobile Entertainment Solutions Category Director, Greg Miller. He also said, “We designed BackBeat PRO to eliminate distractions with active noise-cancellation, and Bluetooth wireless and ridiculously long battery life melt away the frustrations of limited charge and a tangled mess of cords. ”
